What is Counselling?

Many of us experience distress and difficulties within our lives and this can often leave us feeling alone and unable to cope with the issues that we face.

Counselling is a talking therapy and talking to counsellor who is independent of our family and friends can help us explore these difficulties and by understanding why we feel as we do we can start to find our own answers.

What can you expect from counselling?

I provide a confidential, safe and non-judgemental environment within which we can explore the issues that brought you to counselling and where you can start to identify your own solutions.

During our initial meeting I will explain how my model of counselling works, my professional commitment to you and the boundaries within which I work.

This session will also give you a chance to ask any questions that you may have and the space to decide if you would like to continue to work with me.

I practice an open-ended approach, which gives you the freedom to continue to meet for as many or as few sessions as you feel necessary, without obligation.
